Building a Wano house

We recently finished watching the Wild Brother's episode called Home Sweet Hut, where we learned about how the Wano people build their homes, and we saw how the Wild family built their Wano-style house. So, we set out to build some miniature Wano houses of our own.

House #1, adding support poles in the center and around the outside.

Multiple houses under construction...

Adding some sturdy vine floor supports.

House #2 in its final stage. Great ventilation, great view of the stars while sleeping, the occupants moved away before completion.

House #1, getting some flooring.

Working on the roofing supports. Thanks, mom, for all the twistie ties!

An outhouse?

It has a door.

More roof supports and grass over the top. Hopefully it does not rain, ever.

 Further progress on the roof.

Siding added, and some steps into the house.

The fire pit in the center had to be tested.

The size of the fire was not proportional to the size of the house...

... and things started to get a little out of hand.

Maybe we should have brought some marshmallows.

 The end of the house.

After the house burned, there was not much left of value, and it reminded me of Paul's exhortation to the church at Corinth.

1 Corinthians 3:10-15
"According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire."

May we walk in the good works God has prepared for us today, works built on the foundation of Christ, which will be refined in the fire and last into eternity for our joy and God's glory.
